Customer Reviews

I was thrilled to discover that this sight is awesome! It works like a champ, and the red color looks bad ass. I highly recommend it!

I installed it on my 300 blackout rifle and shot 60 rounds through it so far (because it’s expensive ammo), and it’s held up against the recoil. It’s easy to adjust, and I’m very happy with it. Currently, I’m testing the battery life, and it’s holding up well. It’s lasted roughly 145 hours, and I think it has another day or two before it dies. The brightness would be too low to be useful except at night.

I’m impressed with the quality of the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope. It’s built well, and the optical light is very bright. I shot a couple of rounds through a pellet gun with it, and it did fine. I’m mounting it on an ATI GSG 16 this week, and I’ll see how it handles the rapid recoil. So far, I’m not too concerned because the gun is a .22 LR caliber. I’ll revisit my review ratings if I have any issues or changes.

I installed the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope on my Springfield Saint, and it works perfectly. It’s an affordable version of very expensive models and works fine for veterans shooting at the range. It’s not for stopping a “tyrannical government,” which, let’s be honest, my Saint won’t do against drones, mortars, mechanized assault vehicles, Mk 19’s, Apache ‘copters, or other highly advanced weaponry. Nonetheless, I could put a hurtin’ on some gophers or zombies if it comes to that. If you’re a normal Joe that would like an Optic that works, is sturdy and is better than iron sights, I would suggest this one.

The Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope is a cheap optic that surprised me. I have approximately 500 rounds through the carbine I have it mounted on, and it’s holding true on par with my 150-300 dollar optics. Although it was out of zero when I got it, it took a few more rounds than I would normally use to zero, with the adjustment method not appearing to use mil or moa. However, I managed to zero it at a distance of 50 yards.

Ease of Use and Performance

Operates as it should

As a combat veteran, I appreciate quality equipment that performs as expected. The Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope is no exception. I have fired approximately 500 rounds through my 9mm carbine with this optic mounted, and it held true on par with my 150-300 dollar optics. Although it took a few more rounds than usual to zero, I was impressed with how well it held the zero.

Good Quality Sight Picture

When it comes to optics, a good quality sight picture is crucial. The Dagger Defense DD102R has a clear, easy-to-see reticle that provides an accurate point of aim. I also appreciated the high brightness level, which allowed me to shoot at yellow painted steel targets on a bright day.

Tight Quality Manufacturing

One thing that stood out to me about this optic was the tight quality manufacturing. Everything from the lens cover to the reticle adjustments felt well made and durable. This makes me confident that it will withstand the rigors of use in the field.

Easy to Zero and Adjust

Zeroing and adjusting the reticle is a breeze with the Dagger Defense DD102R. The adjustments are simple and the reticle options are a nice feature. Even when swapping between reticles, I found that it did not affect the zero. Overall, the process was straightforward and saved me time on the range.

Extremely Lightweight and Easy to Mount

This optic is extremely lightweight, making it a great choice for those looking to keep their rifle setup as streamlined as possible. It also mounts easily onto a standard picatinny rail system, which is very convenient and doesn’t require any special tools or techniques.

Swapping Reticle Options is a Nice Feature and Does Not Affect the Zero

One of the standout features of the Dagger Defense DD102R is the ability to choose between four different reticle options. I found this to be a very useful feature for different types of shooting scenarios. The best part is that swapping between reticles was straightforward and did not affect the zero.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope. It is a solid choice for those in need of an optic that performs well, is durable, and easy to use. Whether you’re shooting at the range or out in the field, this optic will not disappoint.

Battery Life and Maintenance

No Auto-Off or Shake Awake Feature

One thing to keep in mind with the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope is that it doesn’t have an auto-off function or shake awake feature. This means that you need to manually turn it off after use to preserve the battery life. Additionally, if you forget to turn it off, the battery will drain quickly, leaving you with a dead optic when you need it most.

Battery is a Common Coin Battery

The DD102R runs on a CR2032 coin battery, which is relatively easy to find at most stores that carry batteries. However, as mentioned above, the battery life is relatively short if you forget to turn the optic off after use.

Battery Only Lasts a Few Days if You Do Not Turn it Off

According to one review of the product, the battery for the DD102R only lasts a few days if you forget to switch it off after use. This can be frustrating if you’re in the middle of a long shooting session or need to rely on the optic in a high-pressure situation.

Recommend Replacing Battery Often

Given the short battery life of the DD102R, it’s a good idea to replace the battery frequently, especially if you use the optic regularly. Doing so will ensure that you always have a reliable sight when you need it most.

Overall, the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope is a great budget option for those looking for a reliable red dot sight. While it does have some limitations, particularly when it comes to battery life, it’s a solid choice for those who want to upgrade from iron sights without breaking the bank.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Lightweight, Easy to Mount, Four Position Reticles, Nice Features

As a proud owner of the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope, I am thrilled to share my honest and open review of this optic. The DD102R is extremely lightweight, making it easy to maneuver, and comfortable to use for extended periods when mounted on my firearm. The mounting process was straightforward, and the optic stayed securely in place even during active use. Additionally, I love the fact that this red dot sight scope features four position reticles, offering a greater degree of versatility than other similar products I have tried. The reticle options are convenient and do not affect the zero when swapping.

Cons: Battery Life is Short, No Auto-Off or Shake Awake Feature

Unfortunately, there are also some downsides to the DD102R. One of the most significant drawbacks is the relatively short battery life of the CR2032 battery. However, even with the battery life issues, it is still an inexpensive optic. The battery only lasted a few days when I forgot to turn it off, so it’s important to remember to turn the optic off before storing. Furthermore, there is no auto-off or shake awake feature, so it is recommended to remove the battery when the optic is not in use.

In conclusion, as an avid firearm enthusiast, I can highly recommend the Dagger Defense DD102R Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope for any shooter interested in improving their accuracy without breaking the bank.
